MArtin BrundleMartin Brundle, the British Former F1 driver currently an ITV Sport F1 commentator, will race this weekend at the SPA-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium in the Formula Palmer Audi series. Brundle, who during his F1 career raced for Benetton, McLaren, Ligier and Jordan, will compete against his 17 year old son, Alex Brundle, currently fourth in the series’ standings.

“This is an early 49th birthday present to myself. Who would pass up the chance to race at Spa? It’s a great circuit and a unique opportunity for me to race against my son”, said Brundle. “I haven’t raced professionally since 2001, so competing in the Formula Palmer Audi Championship will be an interesting opportunity to see what speed I have,” he added.
