FIA welcomes Bernie Ecclestone’s letter

“The FIA welcomes the constructive approach the Commercial Rights Holder is now taking in the current negotiations,” has commented an spokesman of the FIA – F1′s governing body – in response to FOM’s chief Bernie Ecclestone letter sent to FIA club presidents on Friday.
The Briton stated in the letter that he was happy for the FIA to continue in its regulatory role, and that there was no question of him or his financial backers, CVC Capital Partners, wanting to take over the running of the sport.
