Indianapolis hoping for a reinstatement in F1 calendar
In response to the provisional 2009 calendar unveiled on Wednesday by the FIA, where the USA Grand Prix once again didn’t include a race, organisers of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are still hoping for a reinstatement. “Discussions will continue,” Ron Green, a spokesman of the American venue, told Associated Press.
“We believe a return of F1 to our calendar, especially during our centennial era, the period between 2009-2011, would be appropriate. But it must be on terms reasonable to all the groups. We want to stress it’s just a provisional schedule. We continue to be interested in the return of the United States Grand Prix.”
