Alain ProstAccording to reports, former F1 World champion Alain Prost would be ready to take Max Mosley‘s place as FIA President but only if the governing body would split the role into separate “sporting” and “general motoring sides. Prost, wouldn’t exactly accept the role Mosley currently has because he’s interested only on the sports side and not on the global administration of all general motoring and road cars.

“If they did, then I may consider that I could be supporting the FIA on the sports side,” said the Frenchman. “If there was only the sporting side, then I could see my job,” he insisted.

“It has always been my idea that they should separate the two things especially with so many big manufacturers now involved. I know what the FIA is, I know all about the World Motor Sport Council and the Formula One Commission,” he added.
