Video, 2008 Canadian GP race: Hamilton hits Raikkonen in the pit lane 

During Sunday’s race at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Canada, McLaren’s rookie Lewis Hamilton, has put an early end to his and Raikkonen‘s race by crashing into the Finn’s F2008 while in the pit lane. Hamilton, Raikkonen, Kubica and Rosberg had entered the pits during a Safety Car period. Raikkonen and Kubica were faster to pit and as the red light at the pit exit was on, they had to halt and wait for the green. The Briton, however, didn’t notice the red light and crashed into the back of the Finn’s Ferrari. At the end of the race, the race officials have penalised Hamilton and Rosberg with a 10-place grid penalty for the French Grand Prix.
