Nelson Piquet jr fastest on Barcelona test day 3
Renault’s Nelson Piquet jr. topped the timesheets on the final day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. The Brazilian, completed 112 laps with his best in a time of 1:20.076. McLaren’s test driver Pedro de la Rosa, despite a front wing problem in the last hour, finished second (1:20.402, 82 laps), 0.4 seconds behind Piquet and was followed by Ferrari’s Luca Badoer (1:20.680, 63 laps). Red Bull’s Mark Webber ended fourth (1:21.037, 92 laps) and Toyota’s Timo Glock fifth (1:21.158, 86 laps).
The teams will head back to their factories in preparation for the French Grand Prix, scheduled for 20,21, and 22 June 2008.
