Honda Racing offers F1 test drive to Danica Patrick
Honda Racing Chief Executive Nick Fry, has stated to be willing to offer in the near future, an F1 test drive to America’s Danica Patrick, the first woman to win an IndyCar race. “We haven’t instigated anything, but if Danica wanted to be test driver then we’d be more than happy to talk about it,” Fry told Autosport.
“Every driver would love to drive a Formula 1 car at some point in their life, so yeah,” replied Danica. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a real, proper test,” she added referring to 2005 when at Indianapolis she had been offered a run in the BAR-Honda which refused as she considered it a ‘publicity stunt’.
