Force India to use Ferrari built KERS
According to latest reports, the Force India F1 team will keep using engines supplied by Ferrari next year and is planning to run a KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) system also developed by the Italian team. “We will run a Ferrari engine and the electronics of Magneti Marelli,” Vijay Mallya said to Auto Motor und Sport.
However, the Silverstone based team, will continue to build its own gearbox and the team’s first ‘quick shift’ transmission is expected to be introduced at the Hungarian Grand Prix scheduled for August 2008.
