Ferrari being sabotaged? J.Todt: “We know something”

Nigel Stepney accused for sabotage by FerrariThe episode regarding Nigel Stepney, ex Ferrari’s mechanics coordinator and now in charge of team’s performance development, happened in Maranello before Monaco’s Gran Prix. Ferrari’s F1 Team general manager, Jean Todt, stated: “We’ve seen an illicit episode”.

Right when Ferrari is getting ready to celebrate its 60 year anniversary, Nigel Stepney’s case outbursts. Ex Ferrari’s mechanics coordinator (currently in charge of team’s performance development) is under investigation for having sabotaged Ferrari’s vehicles before Monte Carlo’s Grand Prix. Ferrari, has presented an official complaint against Stepney with one of the most severe motivations: sabotage. Everything around this episode remains still a mystery and nobody wants to speak of in an explicit way. But, yesterday, Jean Todt has commented: “If we decided to present an official complaint to the Power of Attorney, means we’ve seen something illicit. Essentially he (Nigel Stepney) is still our employee. Regarding sabotage? I can’t talk about these things”.
