Carlos SlimMexican billionaire Carlos Slim has denied recent reports that he would be currently seeking to buy the Honda Racing F1 Team. According to recent rumours, the Mexican would be one of the four potential buyers for Honda but an anonymous spokesman for Slim’s industrial and financial group has firmly denied such rumours. “There is no deal for the Honda team. There is neither agreement nor negotiations,” he said.

Carlos Slim visited Honda’s Headquarters at Brackley, England, a few days before Christmas promising for a second meeting after the holidays. Apart from the Mexican, the other potential buyers for the Honda Racing F1 Team would be Prodrive owner David Richards and two other financial groups, one Swiss and the other Greek.
