Button tops second Istanbul practice
Rosberg second quickest, Hamilton third.
McLaren’s Jenson Button was the fastest man on track in the second free practice ahead of this season’s Turkish Grand Prix.
The Briton clocked a best time of (1:26.456, 26 laps), beating by 0.065 seconds Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg (1:26.521, 29 laps) and by 0.577 team-mate Lewis Hamilton (1:27.033, 31 laps).
Fourth fastest time for seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher (1:27.063), fifth for Red Bull’s Mark Webber (1:27.149), sixth for Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (1:27.340), seventh Lotus Renault GP’s Vitaly Petrov (1:27.517) and eighth for Force India’s Paul Di Resta (1:27.725).
Ninth fastest time overall for Sauber’s Sergio Perez ahead of Force India’s Adrian Sutil, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Buemi, Lotus Renault GP’s Nick Heidfeld, Toro Rosso’s Jaime Alguersuari and William’s Pastor Maldonado.
No time and no laps in the session for Sebastian Vettel as the Red Bull mechanics couldn’t repair in time his RB7 after this morning’s crash.
