During Sunday’s European Grand Prix at the new Valencia Street Circuit, Kimi Raikkonen while on his second pit stop and in an attempt to gain a position to Heikki Kovalainen, left the pit prematurely, and hurt a Ferrari mechanic with the fuel nozzle still attached to his F2008. The Ferrari mechanic, Pietro Timpini, after thorough medical checks escaped serious injury but suffered a fracture of a toe.
