Valentino Rossi - FerrariIn an interview with an Italian publication, seven time World Champion Valentino Rossi, has admitted that he now has some regrets for not switching from motorbike racing (MotoGP) to Formula 1 with Ferrari a few years ago. The Italian, also known as “The Doctor” among the MotoGP fans, had tested with Ferrari several times. His most recent test was in 2006 at Valencia in Spain, where he clocked faster lap times than Red Bull duo David Coulthard and Mark Webber.

“Sorry is not the right word,” Valentino Rossi told the publication. “But I do have some regrets because I am still curious to know what I could have done.”

“I was doing well in the testing and it had always been my dream to race with Ferrari. But at that time I was not ready for the jump and I was in the middle of the motorcycles,” he explained. “Driving Formula One cars is extremely satisfying, as it is less a vehicle and more like an aeroplane, giving you great sensations. But for a motorcyclist it is also a strange feeling because you put your legs into a black hole,” he added.

“I want to do some more MotoGP racing and then I want to spend some seasons with my other passion: the cars. Perhaps rallying, maybe something else,” replied Rossi when asked about his future.
