Timo GlockToyota F1 team denied that Timo Glock is ready of being announced as Ralf Schumacher’s successor at the team for 2008. Reports indicate that a deal for the newly crowned GP2 champion and BMW Sauber test driver could be formalised after Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix, but a spokesperson for the Japanese squad said: “These are all rumors”.

“Nothing is signed yet,” the Toyota representative told Sport1. “We are still in the process of analysing everything. There are some candidates.” BMW Sauber announced in August that Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica would remain with the team in 2008, but said the decision on the team’s test driver would be taken ‘at a later stage’.
