Super Aguri team dispatched to Barcelona

Super AguriAccording to reports, despite Super Aguri’s uncertain financial future, the entire team including the race cars and all the transporters, has been dispatched to the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain where the 2008 Spanish Grand Prix is set to be held this weekend.

However, the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport has claimed that, following the collapsed deal with Magma Group, Honda Racing would have asked for written guarantees from new investors before Super Aguri is given the green light to practice on Thursday in Spain.

Update: Super Aguri co-owner Fumito Akita confirmed that team has been dispatched to Barcelona. “I have heard that the cars being transported to Spain,” he told to Reuters news agency. “They’re on the way is the latest information I have,” he added.
