Sebastian Vettel grabs last second pole in Turkey 

Hamilton knocked out again in Q1.

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel has grabbed for the second time in the season the pole position ahead of Sunday’s Turkish Grand Prix. The young German, beat championship leader Jenson Button in the last seconds of Q3 thanks to a superb and error-free lap (1:28.316), denying the Briton the fifth pole in the 2009 season.

Rubens Barrichello ended up third (1:28.579) ahead of Mark Webber (1:28.613), Jarno Trulli (1:28.666) and Kimi Raikkonen (1:28.815).

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa wasn’t able to grab the fourth straight pole position at the Istanbul Park circuit and had to settle with the seventh place (1:28.858), ahead of Renault’s Fernando Alonso (1:29.075), Williams’ Nico Rosberg (1:29.191) and BMW’s Robert Kubica (1:29.357).

McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen managed only 14th (1:28.207) while team-mate and reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton 16th (1:28.318), as he got knocked out in Q1 for the second Grand Prix in a row.
