According to latest reports, Ralf Schumacher has officially confirmed that he will take a sabbatical in 2008 and he won’t be part of the 2008 Formula One Championship. The report was given by the German portal Motorsport Total following a short interview with Ralf. Ralf Schumacher commented also his chances of a possible comeback starting from 2009 season. He said: “Theoretically that may be possible, but practically you have to wait and see what happens. Formula One waits for nothing and no-one. Until now it has been my life, and motor sport is certainly a big part of my future. In which form, remains to be seen.”

The 32-year-old German, said he has no concrete ideas yet about what he is going to do starting from 2008 and beyond, but ruled out racing at Le Mans or on American ovals. “No matter what car, an oval will never see me, and I will never go to Le Mans, or Dakar,” he said.
