Nick Fry: “Super Aguri-Weigl Group deal unlikely”
According to Honda Racing Chief Executive officer Nick Fry, the deal between Super Aguri and German automotive company Weigl Group which could ensure the survival of the Leafield based team at least for the current season, it’s ‘unlikely’ to be completed. “Since we have been looking for a partner for over a year…it would seem unlikely that someone appropriate is going to appear in the next 48 hours,” Fry told Reuters news agency.
“It would appear unlikely that a company the size of Weigl is able to support a competitive F1 team, unless of course there are other partners of which we have not been made aware,” he added.
