In contrast with what was stated last week, it’s now believed that Mutua Madrilena has decided to rejoin and sponsor once again the ING Renault F1 team next year. The Spanish insurance group, announced last week that it will not continue to sponsor McLaren-Mercedes but made clear that its decision to leave the Woking-based team was not linked with Alonso’s exit.

Mutua Madrilena entered Formula One with Renault in early 2005, and opted to move with Fernando Alonso to McLaren-Mercedes at the end of last year.

The Spanish Press, is reporting that the company has signed a new contract to be represented on the uniform of the 2008-specification Renault R28.
