McLaren-Mercedes looses Mutua Madrilena sponsor 

Mutua Madrilena, Spanish insurance group, announced it will not continue sponsoring the Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes team starting from 2008 season. The group, previously entered in Formula One as a Renault sponsor in 2005, joined McLaren last season, together with double champion Fernando Alonso, who has left the team to rejoin Renault. However, Mutua Madrilena made clear in a statement, that its decision to not sponsor McLaren was not linked with Alonso’s exit and that they had already decided on the move back in November.
