McLaren Mercedes: tyre test for Kovalainen at Paul Ricard

On day 2 of test at the Paul Ricard circuit in France, Heikki Kovalainen took over driving duties, continuing the McLaren-Mercedes’ preparations for the Monaco Grand Prix. As with Lewis Hamilton on Wednseday, Kovalainen ran the MP4-23 in Monaco-spec as he and the test team worked through the Bridgestone Potenza tyre programme and set-up work. Tomorrow, the team’s test driver Pedro de La Rosa will took over driving duties from Heikki.
