Webber grabs pole position at Monaco

Red Bull RacingRed Bull’s Mark Webber took today his second consecutive pole position in the season at Monaco ahead of Renault’s Robert Kubica.

The Australian clocked a best time of 1:13.826, beating by 0.293 seconds the Pole (1:14.120) and by 0.400 team-mate Sebastian Vettel (1:14.227).

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa managed to secure the fourth place in Sunday’s Monaco grid (1:14.283) ahead of McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (1:14.432), Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg (1:14.544), Michael Schumacher (1:14.590), McLaren’s Jenson Button (1:14.637), Williams’ Rubens Barrichello (1:14.901) and Force India’s Tonio Liuzzi (1:15.170).

Williams’ Nico Hulkenberg finished 11th and was followed by Force India’s Adrian Sutil, Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Buemi, Renault’s Vitaly Petrov, Sauber’s Pedro de la Rosa and Toro Rosso’s Jaime Alguersuari.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso had to miss the qualifying session following his crash during this morning’s free practice. The Spaniard will take the start from the pit lane.
