Kubica fastest in Practice 3 at Monaco
Massa second fastest, Alonso hits the barriers.
Renault’s Robert Kubica has topped the timesheets in the final practice ahead of the qualifying session for Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix.
The Pole clocked a best time of 1:14.806, beating by 0.046 seconds Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (1:14.852) and by 0.139 Red Bull’s Mark Webber (1:14.945).
Fourth fastest time for McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (1:15.038) followed by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel (1:15.046), Mercedes GP’s Michael Schumacher (1:15.236), Nico Rosberg (1:15.252), Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Buemi (1:15.537), Force India’s Adrian Sutil (1:15.659) and McLaren’s Jenson Button (1:15.682).
Thursday’s pacesetter Fernando Alonso had a crash 20 minutes into the session and finished only 16th fastest. The Spaniard lost control of the F10 at Turn 3 and hit the barriers damaging heavily the front suspension. The Ferrari mechanics are currently racing against time to fix his car for qualifying.
