Hockenheim test, Day 2: Lewis Hamilton remains on top

Lewis HamiltonMcLaren’s Lewis Hamilton remained on top of the timesheets on day 2 of testing at Hockenheim. The Briton, clocked a 1:14.874, without using the ‘shark fin’ engine cover tested on day 1 but tested a new front wing in the morning. Nico Rosberg ended second with 1:15.257 and completed 117 laps. The German was followed by Kimi Raikkonen (1:15.296, 90 laps), David Coulthard (1:15.767, 42 laps), Adrian Sutil (1:15.945, 97 laps) and Sebastian Vettel (1:15.955, 62 laps).

Today’s session was red flagged three times; Adrian Sutil, Rubens Barrichello and Fernando Alonso had technical problems through the day and stopped on the track.
