Red Bull RacingHelmut Marko, Red Bull Racing’s consultant, said this morning that Renault will only be able to “fight” in the middle of the group and only with Alonso’s R28, as the rookie Nelson Piquet jr. is not in his opinion, up to the job. “We are behind Ferrari and McLaren, in a group consisting of BMW, Williams and Renault,” Marko told to Sportnet. “Renault are keeping up only because of Alonso, as Piquet is behind this group.”

Marko also said that he’s expecting good performances from McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen, as his driving technique without traction control is better than Hamilton’s: “Heikki is driving more calmly and is pretty good with the long runs,”  he said. “Hamilton is faster, but he often loses time by making more mistakes.”
