Gene’ to evaluate Ferrari F60b on Saturday at Vairano

Scuderia Ferrari F60According to the Italian press, the Ferrari F1 team will evaluate the heavily revised Ferrari F60, codenamed F60B, on Saturday (2 May, 2009) at the Vairano track in Italy ahead of next weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix.

Ferrari test driver Marc Gene’ will be at the wheel of the F60b which is expected to feature – among other upgrades – the rear double decker diffuser.The Spaniard will also evaluate an improved and lighter chassis which is believed will be used on Kimi Raikkonen‘s single-seater next week in Spain.

The Ferrari engineers have worked until late night on the revised F60b. So much that, according to reports, a couple of days ago people at Fiorano were awakened in the middle of the night due to the Ferrari engine being tested.
