Force India VJM02 to debut at Jerez on Sunday
Force India’s 2009 challenger, codenamed VJM02, will debut on Sunday at the Jerez circuit in Spain where the team will have a series of tests mostly aimed towards the new engine, gearbox, hydraulic and KERS system provided by McLaren-Mercedes following the new supply deal.
Force India‘s driver line-up for the 2009 season will remain unchanged with race drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil at the wheel of the VJM02 – as team owner Vijay Mallya confirmed last December – even if Norbert Haug, Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Vice President, admitted on Tuesday that the German manufacturer could place its own drivers such as Gary Paffett and Paul di Resta in the future.
