FIA publishes revised 2010 season F1 calendar 

Date change for the Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix has been moved forward one week to 16 May. The FIA has approved in principle a proposal to swap the dates of the Abu Dhabi and Brazilian grands prix, pending agreement with the promoters of both events.

The FIA is expecting confirmation from Formula One Management about the grands prix in Canada and Britain shortly.

The latest calendar is below. The final calendar will be adopted at the December meeting of the WMSC.

Revised 2010 Formula One World Championship calendar:

  1. 14 March – Bahrain
  2. 28 March – Australia
  3. 4 April – Malaysia
  4. 18 April – China
  5. 9 May – Spain
  6. 16 May – Monaco
  7. 30 May – Turkey
  8. 13 June – Canada**
  9. 27 June – Europe, Valencia
  10. 11 July – Great Britain**
  11. 25 July – Germany
  12. 1 August – Hungary
  13. 29 August – Belgium
  14. 12 September – Italy
  15. 26 September – Singapore
  16. 3 October – Japan
  17. 17 October – Korea*
  18. 31 October *** – Abu Dhabi*
  19. 14 November *** – Brazil

*Subject to the homologation of the circuit.

**Subject to the completion of contract negotiations with Formula One Management.

    Seriously? Formula 1, I love you, but work on your scheduling. East to West. Start in Australia/Asia and move west through the season. Also, don’t forget that you have North American fans.
