Felipe MassaScuderia Ferrari has decided this morning to change Felipe Massa‘s engine ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, race that will start in uncertain weather conditions in less than four hours. The Brazilian, who qualified sixth for the race, will not be penalised for the engine change, as the FIA regulations allow to use one ‘joker‘ substitution over the season.

According to reports, the Maranello based team would have opted for the engine change on the Brazilian’s car after having verified that the engine had a slight performance decrease at the end of Saturday’s Qualifying session.
