Following the FIA’s £40m budget cap introduction for the 2010 season, Ferrari has called for a Board of Directors’ meeting on Tuesday at the Maranello headquarters to discuss the current situation and the team’s future in Formula 1.

Ferrari president, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, has already criticised the FIA’s cap, suggesting that it will be too harmful for the sport.

FIA president Max Mosley instead, has defended the budget cap and has stated last week that F1 ‘can survive without Ferrari‘, the only F1 team that has competed in every Formula One championship since 1950.
