Fernando AlonsoWhile many fans are hoping for a wet race this Sunday at the Monaco Grand Prix, most of the F1 drivers have expressed already their concern if rain falls at Monte Carlo given the fact traction control has been banned. Double World Champion Fernando Alonso has joined those concerned on this weekend’s weather by stating that ‘rain would be a nightmare’ in the streets of the Principality.

“Last year we did a practice session in the wet and it was virtually impossible to drive the car, even with all the driver aids,” said the Spaniard.

“This year it would be a nightmare, although I suppose a good result is possible because many cars might crash. But I don’t have a good feeling about it, so I hope it stays dry,” he added.
