Fernando Alonso: “Hamilton, not title favourite” 

Double World Champion Fernando Alonso has told a Spanish radio that his former teammate at McLaren Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton, despite the good performance at the Monaco Grand Prix where with his first place took the lead of the Drivers’ Championship, is not the favourite driver to win this year’s title.

“It is too early to say how the championship is going to end,” said the Spaniard. “We have seen the lead change a few times now, but even the fourth place, Kubica, is only a stone’s throw away,” he added.

“I see the favourites still as the two Ferraris, by a long way. Do I think Hamilton can do it? No,” he concluded.
