Felipe Massa takes pole position for title decider race

Felipe MassaFelipe Massa‘s hunt for the 2008 Formula One Drivers’ Championship will start tomorrow from the pole position. The Brazilian took his sixth seasonal pole position at the Interlagos circuit with a best time of 1:12.368, preceding by 0.369 seconds an excellent, yet unexpected, second placed Jarno Trulli (1:12.737). Third time for reigning world champion Kimi Raikkonen (1:12.825) ahead of McLaren-Mercedes duo with championship leader Lewis Hamilton fourth (1:12.830) and Heikki Kovalainen fifth (1:12.917).

Sixth time for Fernando Alonso (1:12.967), seventh for Sebastian Vettel (1:3.082), eighth for Nick Heidfeld (1:13.297), ninth for Sebastien Bourdais (1:14.105) and tenth for Timo Glock (1:14.230).

Yet another disappointing qualifying performance for Robert Kubica who struggled with his car’s grip and got knocked out again in Q2 failing to enter Q3′s top ten. The Pole will start the race from P13 next to Red Bull’s David Coulthard.
