Felipe Massa scores Turkish Grand Prix hat-trick
Ferrari’s Felipe Massa has won today for the third consecutive year the 2008 Turkish Grand Prix. The Brazilian was ahead of an excellent Lewis Hamilton who managed to finish second. The Briton, thanks to an unexpected three pit stop strategy and Bridgestone’s hard tyres has outpaced 2007 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen who finished third. The Finn lost several positions on race start following a slight contact with Heikki Kovalainen’s MP4-23. Kovalainen instead had a puncture on his tyre and was forced to enter the pits on lap 1; despite that, the Finn had a good race and finished 12th. Fourth and fifth place for BMW-Sauber duo with Kubica ahead of Heidfeld. Fernando Alonso finished sixth, Mark Webber seventh and Nico Rosberg eighth.
