Felipe Massa“The Interlagos circuit is always unpredictable, anything can happen.” These were the words of championship contender Felipe Massa ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, the last round of this season’s championship. The Ferrari driver is confident that his home crowd will favour him even if the weather conditions remain still unknown. “We’re still uncertain about the weather, it could rain or not during the race, and a Safety Car could even decide the title. The crowd does help especially in my favour, I have high hopes and I’m definitely 100 percent optimistic.”

The Brazilian must win the race and hope in his teammate’s help but most importantly his rival, Lewis Hamilton, has to make a blunder. “I hope to have a good race, I want to win the championship but the rest does not rest on me,” he said.

Massa could find another ally during Sunday’s race: the double world champion Fernando Alonso who hasn’t kept secret so far that he supports the Brazilian in the fight for the Drivers’ Championship. “I don’t know if Fernando will be in the position to help me, if he will be well placed on the starting grid or if he will be ahead of Lewis. Kimi and I must work together, it would be fantastic if we could get a good result. Sunday’s race is crucial.”
