Felipe Massa: Amazing weekend 

Felipe Massa right after winning yesterdays’ Turkish Grand Prix, stated: “It was an amazing weekend for me and for Ferrari, i really enjoy racing at Istanbul’s Park Circuit. Using soft tyres at race start was the right decision for both of us”. Massa’s teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, said: “My F2007 had an excellent setup but it was difficult to overtake Felipe when i had the chance”.

“It was an amazing weekend! I’m really happy and satisfied for my second win at the Turkish Grand Prix and my third this season”, says a joyful Felipe Massa after Turkish GP finish line; a Grand Prix that Felipe won for the second consecutive season. “Everything was perfect, i took the start from Pole Position in a circuit that i really like, because my career as a driver made a step ahead from here. It’s difficult for me to find the right words in order to explain how i feel”.

Tyres – Choosing the soft type of tyres right from the start, gave clearly to Ferrari an advantage: “During Friday’s free practice session we noticed that there was a difference of one-two tenths between the soft and the hard type of tyres”, said Massa, “And on Saturday, with a cleaner track, lap times with soft tyres were even better; so we decided to start the race with the soft ones and that was the right choice as Kimi, with a great race start, gained immediately the second place”. Felipe spent some words for his father also, who was celebrating under the podium: “Probably he was happier than me – said Felipe smiling – it makes me proud winning a race with him watching me”.
