European Union to investigate Valencia GP contract

Valencia street circuitAccording to Spanish news agency ‘EFE‘, European Union’s Commissioner for Environment, Stavros Dimas, will investigate possible irregularities in the development of the European Grand Prix scheduled for August 24th at Valencia’s new street circuit, in Spain.

“I will look into possible irregularities of the EU’s public contract rules in the bidding process,” the Greek politician was quoted as saying by the news agency.

Dimas also confirmed that Valencian Government have so far failed to hand over studies about the fulfillment of European noise pollution directives.
