Ecclestone could skip Melbourne’s Grand Prix
According to reports, F1 Supremo Bernie Ecclestone could skip the 2008 Australian Grand Prix, this season opening race. Ecclestone’s possible absence in Sunday’s race, is already adding fuel to speculations that Melbourne’s race could be cut from the F1 Calendar, given the difficult negotiations for extending its contract with Formula One. Ron Walker, the Australian GP Corporation Chief, has confirmed this morning he doesn’t know if Ecclestone will be at Albert Park this weekend. “He hasn’t made up his mind, he has a very busy calendar. I don’t know yet,” he said.
