Barcelona tests, day 1: Lewis Hamilton beats Raikkonen 

The last week of test sessions before the Australian Grand Prix has started today at Circuit de Catalunya and young Briton Lewis Hamilton clocked the fastest lap, just a few hundredths of a second  lower than Kimi Raikkonen’s time. Michael Schumacher returned back on testing the F2008 and had the 3rd best time.

Schumacher was followed by an excellent Kazuki Nakajima on 4th, Heikki Kovalainen on 5th, Nico Rosberg on 6th and Fernando Alonso, despite being the quickest in the morning session, on 7th.
