Barcelona, test Day 2 – April 15th, 2008: Renault testing new engine cover

On the second day of test at Circuit de Catalunya, ING Renault has fitted on its R28 car a new aerodynamic engine cover similar to the one previously introduced by Red Bull Racing on the RB4. The French outfit has probably opted for a “shark fin” cover in order to provide better airflow on R28’s rear wing and consequently to maximize the stability of the car when braking. The new cover is currently being tested by former world champion Fernando Alonso.
