F2008 at Fiorano CircuitOn the final day of tests at Sakhir Circuit, Kimi Raikkonen showed again a great shape by placing for the 3rd day in a row, the fastest lap time and by setting a new track record since the traction control ban. Raikkonen’s track record (1’30”455) was achieved in the afternoon where the track’s temperature was 20 degrees lower than in the morning (40).

Felipe Massa joined today his team and had the 2nd best lap time (1’31”293, 72 laps) even if his day was a bit troubled. At around 15, the Brazilian accused a failure on his F2008 hydraulic circuit and was forced to get back to the pits for about 90 minutes. Toyota drivers Jarno Trulli and Kamui Kobayashi, despite their 1 second gap from Massa, had respectively the 3rd and the 4th lap time. Ferrari and Toyota will stay in Bahrain, where on Saturday 9th, another 3 day test session is scheduled.
