Australian GP, 2nd Free Practice: Lewis Hamilton fastest 

Fastest lap time for Lewis Hamilton in the 2nd free practice of the Australian GP. The Briton lapped in 1’26”559 nine tenths ahead of Mark Webber’s Red Bull and over one second over Felipe Massa’s F2008 and Kovalainen’s MP4-23. Fifth best for David Coulthard and sixth for Kimi Raikkonen. Jarno Trulli had the 7th best, Nico Rosberg the 8th, Giancarlo Fisichella the 9th and Timo Glock the 10th. Fernando Alonso managed to get only the 13th best.

During the 2nd session, Nick Heidfeld, Adrian Sutil, David Coulthard, Kazuki Nakajima, Nico Rosberg, Giancarlo Fisichella, Fernando Alonso and Takuma Sato went off track at least once but none of them faced consequences.
