Anthony HamiltonIt has been reported this morning that Anthony Hamilton, father and manager of young McLaren’s driver Lewis, has crashed a borrowed Porsche Carrera GT ($600.000 estimated value) into a children’s playground. A witness told The Mirror newspaper that Anthony, lost the car as he showed off to onlookers by revving the engine of the supercar.

“He started revving the car really hard and wheel-spinned off. He had the roof down and looked at me before he put his foot down. He roared off and 50 yards down the road lost it on the corner,” the man was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, the 48 year old, has apologised for the damages.

“This is my first crash in almost 30 years and it had to happen in someone else’s car,” he said. “Thankfully the only thing hurt was the car and a bush fence, for which I am extremely sorry,” he added.
