2009 Monaco GP: Barrichello fastest in first practice

Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello has clocked the fastest time in the first free practice session for Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix. The Brazilian completed 26 laps, the fastest in 1:17.189 – 0.310 seconds quicker than Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (1:17.499).
Third and fourth fastest time for the McLaren Mercedes duo, with Lewis Hamilton (1:17.578) ahead of team-mate Heikki Kovalainen (1:17.686). The Finn was followed by his compatriot Kimi Raikkonen (1:17.839), Williams’ Kazuki Nakajima (1:18.000), Nico Rosberg (1:18.024), Jenson Button (1:18.080) and Fernando Alonso (1:18.283).
10th time for Red Bull’s Mark Webber (1:18.348) while team-mate Sebastian Vettel (1:19.233), following an engine failure, was able to come up only 13th.
