Williams’ Nico Rosberg has climbed on top of the timesheets in the final free practice for Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix, after a delayed start due to torrential rain and an early end due to a red flag in the final moments.

The German completed 9 laps, the quickest in 1:23.182, beating by 0.650 seconds team-mate Kazuki Nakajima (1:23.832). Third time for Brawn GP’s Jenson Button (1:24.122), ahead of Renault’s Fernando Alonso (1:24.125) and Force India’s Adrian Sutil (1:24.149).

Sixth time for Renault’s Romain Grosjean (1:24.389) who brought again a red flag in the final minutes after he aquaplaned off the track and hit the barriers.

Seventh time for Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Buemi (1:24.443), followed by Toyota’s Jarno Trulli, BMW’s Nick Heidfeld, Red Bull’s Mark Webber, Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen and McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen.
