2008 Spanish GP, 2nd Free Practice Session: Raikkonen keeps the lead

Kimi RaikkonenDuring the second free practice session for the 2008 Spanish Grand Prix, Kimi Raikkonen confirmed this morning’s pace by clocking again the fastest time (1:21.935). The Finn was followed by Renault duo with young rookie Nelson Piquet (2nd) ahead of teammate and double world champion Fernando Alonso (3rd). Williams’ Kazuki Nakajima had the 4th best time while Raikkonen’s teammate, Felipe Massa, the 5th.

Red Bull’s Mark Webber finished 6th followed by Nico Rosberg (7th), David Coulthard (8th), Giancarlo Fisichella (9th) and Adrian Sutil (10th). McLaren-Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton managed to get only the 11th time (1:22.685) while his teammate Heikki Kovalainen, who completed only 8 laps as he apparently had gearbox problems, the 16th.
