2008 Italian Grand Prix, 2nd Free Practice: Raikkonen on top

Kimi RaikkonenFerrari’s Kimi Raikkonen was able to celebrate the announcement of his contract extension to 2010 season with Scuderia Ferrari, with the fastest lap during the second free practice session at the Autodromo di Monza in Italy. The Finn completed 31 laps with his best in a time of 1:23.861, 0.07 seconds faster that second placed Robert Kubica (1:23.931). BMW’s Nick Heidfeld had the third best time (1:23.947) ahead of McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton fourth (1:23.983), Williams’ Nico Rosberg fifth (1:24.110), Ferrari’s Felipe Massa sixth (1:24.247), McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen seventh (1:24.365) and Red Bull’s Mark Webber eighth (1:24.521).
