2008 Italian Grand Prix, 1st free practice: Sutil fastest

Adrian SutilDuring the first free practice for Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo di Monza circuit, Force India’s Adrian Sutil has climbed on top of the timesheets with the fastest lap time (1:32.842). The German driver was among the few drivers to set a flying lap when the circuit was partially dry before the rain showed up. Sutil was followed by Honda’s Rubens Barrichello (1:33.428), teammate Giancarlo Fisichella (1:33.695), Toyota’s Timo Glock (1:36.800), Williams’ Nico Rosberg (1:36.900), Fernando Alonso (1:36.965), Sebastien Bourdais (1:37.142) and Jarno Trulli (1:37.214).

Last places for McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton along with both the two BMW Sauber as they managed to run only their installation lap.
