2008 Hungarian GP, Qualifying: Hamilton leads McLaren front row

The two McLaren Mercedes locked down today the front row for Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring circuit. Lewis Hamilton took an easy pole position by clocking a time of 1:20.899, 0,2 seconds faster than his teammate Heikki Kovalainen (P2, 1:21.141). Third place for Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (P3, 1:21.191), with Kimi Raikkonen only sixth (P6, 1:21.516), beaten by both Robert Kubica (P4, 1:21.281) and Timo Glock (P5, 1:21.326).
Seventh spot on tomorrow’s grid for Renault’s Fernando Alonso (P7, 1:21.698), eighth for Red Bull’s Mark Webber (P8, 1:21.732), ninth for Toyota’s Jarno Trulli (P9, 1:21.767) and tenth for Nelson Piquet jr. (P10, 1:22.371).
