2008 Chinese Grand Prix: Heidfeld gets three-place grid penalty

Nick HeidfeldBMW’s Nick Heidfeld has been penalised by the Chinese Grand Prix stewards with a three-place grid penalty for blocking Red Bull’s David Coulthard during Q1 of the qualifying session. Therefore, the German, who qualified 7th, will start Sunday’s 2008 Chinese Grand Prix from the 9th place, row number 5, next to Renault’s Nelsinho Piquet.

With Heidfeld’s penalty, Sebastian Vettel, Jarno Trulli and Sebastien Bourdais all gain a position.
